Principal Message
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year. This school year at Oak Manor School will be filled with learning, growth and fun. The Oak Manor staff have been working hard to prepare for this new school year. The first few weeks of school have been focused on routines, expectations and safety procedures. These important learnings are the foundation to consistent rigorous learning. We will continue to send digital communications so, if you have not yet, please make sure that you have updated your Aeries parent portal account. If you need assistance please contact our office, 472-5180.
Education Benefit Forms
It is important that every parent in kindergarten as well as anyone new to Oak Manor School, fill out an Education Benefit Form. This form helps qualify our school for additional funds and supports. If you have any questions please contact Gloria Vaine for assistance.
Pick Up and Drop
In the morning, please enter the parking lot through the North entrance of the parking lot. We will form two lines of cars beginning at the stop sign. Each lane will take turns merging into the pick up drop off area. Drop off begins at 7:30 AM. There will be a staff member in front of the school greeting students. Students will then go through the cafeteria and pick up breakfast from 7:30-7:45 AM. They will then proceed to the outdoor seating area to eat, then play. Teachers will call students to line up at the 8 AM bell.
In the afternoon, students are released from school at 2:30 PM and 12:38 PM on Wednesdays. Due to Covid-19 safety protocols we are not allowing visitors to classrooms or on campus. We will form two lines of cars beginning at the stop sign. Each lane will take turns merging into the pick up drop off area. Pick up begins at 2:30 PM. There will be staff members assisting students with the correct cars. Please make sure to review with your child who will be picking them up and what the vehicle looks like. Also Please make sure that if you are picking up in a car to keep driveways and crosswalks clear for pedestrians. Thank you.
Covid Testing
It is vital to the health of our community to maintain high standards when it comes to illness and/or symptoms of COVID -19. Please check in with your children every morning to make sure that they don't have any symptoms of COVID-19. If they do, please call the office and we can schedule a rapid COVID test. It is important to keep kids in school if they are healthy and keep kids home if they are sick! If your family has been exposed to a COVID-19 positive person , please call the office immediately so we can take the proper precautions and give you your options. Finally, we have weekly COVID -19 testing for students. If you would like to consent to weekly testing, please go to the UUSD website, our website or follow this link: https://my.primary.health/l/uusd . Thank you for helping us keep our staff and students healthy.
UUSD Covid Safety Protocols
Thank you for helping us by sending your children to school every day with a mask. All children are expected to arrive at school every day wearing a mask. We have a limited supply at schools, so please remember to send at least one or two with your student. Please choose masks with two or more layers of fabric, completely cover your child’s nose and mouth, fit snugly against the sides of their face and have a nose wire to reduce gaps around the nose. In addition please review the UUSD Healthy Guidelines with your child.
Chromebook Insurance
We are offering Chromebook insurance to all UUSD families who will have Chromebooks at home this year (grades 6 -12). The deadline is September 30, 2021. $31 will cover a student Chromebook for 12 months. Chromebook Insurance Application
